Wall Street fuels climate chaos by investing trillions in coal, oil & gas. It’s time to stop them.
This fall, we’re calling for a wave of actions that lay the blame for the climate crisis on those responsible: the banks, insurers & investors funding the fossil fuel industry.
Already this year, we’ve witnessed unprecedented numbers of climate disasters, heatwaves, drought, floods & fires.

It’s essential that people connect the dots between these climate disasters & the corporations funding the climate crisis.

Why Wall Street?
Last year, Wall Street provided billions of dollars for new coal, oil & gas projects. Without this support, fossil fuel companies cannot build their new oil pipelines, coal mines & gas terminals.

Since the Paris Agreement, Wall Street banks have provided $1.4 trillion in financing to coal, oil, and gas.

Insurance companies provide insurance to new fossil fuel projects without which they could not be built.

Asset managers like BlackRock and Vanguard are the world’s largest investors in the fossil fuel industry.

Our pension funds invest billions of dollars in companies that are wrecking our climate.

Arts and Song
Art & music are central to people-powered movements. That’s why, as part of the Blame Wall Street campaign, we’ve commissioned five movement artists to create original art for the campaign and a musician to write an original song, designed to be sung in the streets and while occupying bank branches in the name of justice.
